My first Blog Carnival

November 8th, 2007

Resource for Bloggers Carnival

The article that I wrote the other days, Great articles that should be read, give me the idea to start a blog carnival, called “Resource for Bloggers“. And by Bloggers I mean people who blog, not necessarily the bloggers who have a Blogger blog (to avoid any misunderstanding).

Oh, you don’t know what a blog carnival is? Let me quote from the Blog Carnival - the Blog Communities Publishing Magazines:

A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. A Blog Carnival is like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience. Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis (e.g. every Monday, or on the first of the month). Each edition is a special blog article that consists of links to all the contributions that have been submitted, often with the editor’s opinions or remarks.

I want that the “Resource for Bloggers” carnival to be a collection of articles related to blog posts ideas, blogs traffic, tools and plugins for blogging, blog monetization, writing, online marketing, advertising and other articles that could improve the blogger’s life.

The carnival will be held every month, on 13th and 26th (= 13 + 13  ), friends knows why

The submission deadline for each carnival will be on 12th and 25th, but for the first carnival, which I’ll be held on November 13, 2007, because of shorter time, let’s say the submission deadline will be on 13th, 10 AM.

So people, if you have a blog and you write an article that meets this carnival description please submit it here. That way you can get some exposure to your blog or just spread the word out about a great article.

Note: By submitting your article, you agree that you are not guaranteed a spot in any edition.

I hope you will like this idea and you will contribute with your great articles.

Later note: As you can see, we have now a logo, courtesy of my friend, Mihai. It’s simple, but I like it. If you want, feel free to add it to your sidebar, and grab the link, too.

I just submitted my first contribution on how to start blogging in 5.401 words. Hope you like it.

Thanks Marco!
I’ve received your article and I’m in the middle of reading it. It’s a great and very useful article. After the first edition of this carnival, that’s means after 13 November, maybe you will add it on the list of carnivals where you participated

Hosting a Blog carnival is something that I’d like to do but have not done yet due to time constraints. But I will definitely consider participating in this carnival, though I can’t promise anything at the moment (I have promised to submit my thesis on the 12th, you see).

Anyway, good luck with your maiden carnival, Diana! :)
