How much time do you spend blogging?
October 8th, 2007
When I’ve started my blog (actually I’ve started 3 blogs, but 2 of them is still in work) I think it’s a very easy thing to do. I mean, c’mon… I have to choose a domain name, to install WordPress, to choose a theme and that’s it. Peace of cake!
Well, let’s see…
- I spend 3 nights choosing 3 domain names
- I’ve installed WordPress on it, my designer arranged 2 of it, and I’ve started the serious work to the first blog, 134u.com (it takes about 4 nights)
- I found out that there are more plugins, so I’ve started to search for them, to make my blog the most beautiful and useful inn the world
(this last from 3 weeks now, and I’ll think it’s never end)
- I read a lot of articles blogging related
- I’ve searched blog forums to promote my blog and to participate to discussions
- I visit many blogs and I leave comments there
- I try a couple of programs that promises a lot of traffic (but for this I have to do some works in order to receive some traffic)
- In the mean time, while I read and I search, I have in my mind more and more articles to write.
Well, that’s a lot of things to do, and my brain is already much bigger than 3 weeks ago
So, how much time do you spend with your blog? I admit that I’m addicted. I’m just curious if I’m the only one

Your blog is very nice! I add it in my links. So I’ll often come back. ciao
Thanks. I’ve added your links, too
I spend just about every evening blogging or doing related things, such as reading others blogs. I spend time thinking about it while walking to work, at work, when shopping..
All in all it’s a bit too much! There are only so many hours in a day!
But it’s addictive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend the majority of my time blogging, or working on my blog in some manner. It’s only about five weeks old and I’m guessing that after a couple of months, the workload will lessen, because I’ll spend less time tweaking and searching for other sites to add to my blogroll and comment on.
My blog serves two primary functions – one is to generate revenue and the other is to act a support tool for my freelance writing business. In addition to maintaining my blog, I also have to keep the freelance site updated, and work to promote it and try to gain clients. So far, so good, but I’ll be glad when my workday is closer to eight hours than sixteen!

Melissa, thanks for visits and for comments. I think your blog is a valuable source of information. I’ve added it to my 13 Blogs.
Is this a female only blog
? I like this post as every blogger is curious about what other bloggers do in regards to time investment and many of them on monetization. I have decided to not force myself to post every day. It gets to be a grind, and maybe not worth the effort

Lately I’ve spent more time designing a new blog than I have actually writing for it. It’s not as fun but what can you do
I’ll spend at least half an hour a day “blogging”

The truth is that I could spend 12 hours a day blogging and/or checking out other blogs. It’s my stupid job and family that keep getting in the way! I actually just work to live and spend time with the family for fresh material. Okay, maybe I exagerate a bit…
Well, I like that I’m not the only one addicted
