Embed YouTube Videos in WordPress 2.2.2
September 16th, 2007
I spend a lot of time to embed YouTube video in my posts. Even if I press the Code tab and copy the Embed code from YouTube my entire Blog displayed craziness.
First, I think it’s the WordPress Editor’s fault. I use WordPress 2.2.2. So I install a better Wysiwyg Editor plugin. But it happens again. So I search on Google on How to embed YouTube videos in WordPress. And I find the solution for this issue.
No matter what editors you have (and it’s work without editor plugin too), you must go to SiteAdmin -> Users , click on Edit (right behind your username) and uncheck “Use the visual editor when writing”. Click on “Update user”. Now, return to Write Post and just paste your embed code you want. Then Publish. That’s it!
I find also a little movie that explain haw to do this. I think this explanation is for a previous version of WordPress, but you get the picture.
