A beautiful song that I like very much is Ievan Polka (a popular Finnish song), in interpretation of Loituma – a Finnish quartet. If you want to know more about this song you can follow the links above. I don’t want to copy/paste the story and/or description of this song and the band; I just want you to listen the song. I’m sure that many of you knows this song from the animation Loituma Girl.
Yodeling (or yodelling) is a form of singing that involves singing an extended note which rapidly and repeatedly changes in pitch from the vocal chest register (or “chest voice”) to the head register (or “head voice”), making a high-low-high-low sound. This vocal technique is used in many cultures throughout the world. In Swiss music, it was probably developed in the Swiss and Austrian Alps as a method of communication between mountain peaks, and it later became a part of the traditional music of the region. In Persian and Azeri classical music, singers frequently use tahrir, a yodeling technique that oscillates on neighbor tones. In Georgian traditional music, yodelling takes the form of krimanchuli technique. In Central Africa, Pygmy singers use yodels within their elaborate polyphonic singing. Yodeling is often used in American bluegrass and country music. – Wikipedia

The Comedian Harmonists was an internationally famous, all-male German close harmony ensemble (5 singers plus pianist) that operated between 1927 and 1934. They were one of the most successful 20th century musical groups in Europe before World War II and were noted for using their voices to imitate musical instruments.
The choice of repertoire was wide, ranging from folksong and classical numbers to the attractive and witty popular songs of the day.
I found out that my 3,8 years old son loves this videoclips: "As long as you love me" and "Everybody". Well, I like BackStreet Boys. And their songs, too
